It all starts here. If you really want to crush it when it comes to selling things, you really need to know who is your ideal customer avatar. Who is your dream customer. Who is the type of person that needs what you have to offer the most?
You may think that Facebook will just show your post to everyone, but they won't. When you make a post Facebook will pick a small bucket (let's say 5%) of your friends and show them your post.
So if you have 1000 friends, Facebooks only going to initially show your post to around 50 of them.
Now that Facebook is showing your post to just a very small bucket of your friends list they then check the engagmenet on that post from that small group of friends. They check to see how many people stop when they see it in the news feed, and how many people react to it and comment on the post.
Facebook will now show your that post to another bucket of friends. They will determine wheither to increse the size of the bucket or decrease the size of the bucket based on the results of step 3.
So basically if you post gets a low engagment, they show the post to an even smaller bucket size (let's say 3%), but if it got a high amount of engagement they will show the post to an even larger bucket of friends (let's say 8%).
Facebook will basically repeat steps 2-4 over and over until either the bucket size is 0, meaning they will no longer show that post to any of your friends or they have shown the post to everyone on your friends list.
The less engagmenet you get the faster the bucket size goes to 0, the more engagment you get, the higher total amount of your friends will see your post.
How fast and how many friends should I remove each day?
This is really totally up to you and your needs, however I would not recommend removing more than 100 friends a day.
